It's 4 the BiRDS! We have a passion for our feathered friends. We started with one lonely cockatiel, Java and have grown to over 100 birds! Some of these birds were rescued, some were given to us for adoption, some were purchased and some we raise. Each one is an individual. Each one is cared for and cherished. Each one is appreciated for their differences and unique personalities. Each one is given our best efforts to maintain their health and happiness. These are our friends and they live in the main part of our home. They are not locked away and visited once or twice a day. Each species has its own out-of-cage time and the opportunity to socialize and interact. Yes, it can be done! For the flighted breeders, every attempt is made to give them the largest space possible to live and play.
We are a home-based aviary run by Mom, Nanc and Pop, Denny. My two adult children are heavily involved in all aspects of the Aviary. The birds know and love them. We have planned for the future. Mom has achieved her Certified Avian Specialist through the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council and we have plans for MAP Certification in our near future.
Since many of the birds that own us are rehomed or rescued, we have encountered Behavior Problems of many kinds. We can offer personal advice as well as links to articles on how to overcome these Problem Behaviors instead of giving up on your bird. Articles will be added weekly so check back often.
Some of the birds we raise are ideal for Companions. These birds are placed with caring people who enjoy their antics, songs, snuggles and intelligence. Our birds have been placed with Special Needs children, their grandparents, Elder Care Givers and so on. We have birds to fit most needs and most homes. You can choose from handfed, home socialized baby birds. Your new baby comes with a health guarantee and a Hatch Certificate. References are available that you can actually talk to and who have actually been here. We personally raise: Sun Conures, Green Cheek Conures of several color mutations, White Bellied Caiques, Rare Mutation Cockatiels, Parrotlets, Lovebirds, Rosie Bourkes and English Budgies from our Ohio friends, In A Pickle Aviary and Jeff Hall Aviary.
